WHO IS CHARLIETOWN?
Todd Anderson is CHARLIETOWN. After nearly a decade screenprinting and selling work out of Estelle (his Jeep), Todd decided it was time to be head of a bad ass legit business. Todd's studio, located in the heart of downtown Charleston, is fully equipped for all small-batch screenprinting projects.
BIO
Todd was born in Texas, but has lived in South Carolina since he was six months old. Charleston has been home since 2000, where he snagged his BA from CofC in 2004. His biggest influence as a child was learning to draw as a child from his older brother, Gage. Always being attracted to the album art from his cd's and records it was only natural to take the drawing skills learned as a child and translate those into the art of screen printing.
As a licensed historian for the city of Charleston SC since 2004, much of his work deals with the beautiful, yet tragically flawed history of the environment he calls home. Traditional ideas interpreted by a modern historical view are the content of many of the prints. Each is made by hand and colors and techniques are altering throughout each step of the process so each print in a limited edition set has its own unique grit and personal touch by the hand of Todd.
